Merrill French, Artist - Landscapes and Random Subjects
My thought process for landscapes is the same: finding a connection between myself and the subject. It is about how the light plays off a field or through the fog for example. It is a breath of fresh air to paint something organic with not a straight line( with the exception of an occasional horizon line).
Then back to my other interest: The play of line and form, fire escapes and water towers.
